Ayurvedic Lifestyle: #The10YearChange
Let’s analyse how people’s attitude has changed towards Ayurveda — knowledge of life in the last 10 years.
Ayurveda, with its rich history, pulls in individuals from all around the globe. It isn't only a wellbeing framework but instead a way of life, as well as a tradition. What's more, the long convention and old nature makes Ayurveda misconstrued many times. This makes individuals reluctant when moving toward Ayurveda. But who knew Ayurveda would become a new trend in the 21st century? Amidst the culture of modern medicine, people have started giving Ayurvedic therapies the much needed attention. As the #10YearChallenge goes viral all over the world, let’s explore how people’s mentality has changed in these 10 years towards Ayurvedic medicine.
We spoke to Dr. Henu Pujara, (practicing Ayurvedic Medicine for 25 years now ) who gave us an insight on Ayurveda has changed from ‘then and now’:
- Earlier, integrating Ayurveda into the lifestyle was considered historic, outdated and obsolete but now it is seen immensely beneficial to one’s overall sense of wellness.
- The common mindset earlier was that Ayurveda only uses herbs but the reality is Ayurveda incorporates herbs along with items such as milk, honey, ghee (clarified butter), butter, salt and minerals in many remedies. Not all herbal products or remedies are Ayurvedic.
- 10 years back, Ayurvedic treatments were thought as ineffective but the truth is that while some Ayurvedic medications can be quick acting, other Ayurvedic medicines and meds act in a gradual manner, since this guarantees the body organs and tissues are not harmed during the time spent easing or annihilating illness.
- From being the 'science of life', Ayurveda has become the 'slice of life'. The advent and positive growth of rejuvenation centres and Ayurvedic resorts in the country is a proof of the same. People are now willing to experience a ‘healthier’ side to an otherwise indulgent holiday by touring healing resorts as an escape from the mundane and fast lifestyle.
- The kind of diseases that are there today didn’t exist 10 years back. With the fast and stressful lifestyle, people want to eradicate the root cause and not fall for allopathy or steroids. Hence, the shift to Ayurvedic treatment 10 years later, is a myth busted!
The magnificence of the Ayurvedic approach is it highly rich and instinctive and for those moderately new to Ayurveda, the convention offers an unmistakable way to enhanced wellbeing and imperativeness. Past its conventional roots, there are numerous different reasons why you may be keen on investigating an Ayurvedic way of life and the advantages Ayurveda brings to the table.
&Me provides two drinks — Rhythm and Grace that incorporates Ayurvedic herbs like Ashwaganda, Shatavari, Ashoka, Ginger, Pepper, Manjishtha, Turmeric, Neem, Aloevera and Sariva — that helps manage period pain, prevent anxiety, increasing estrogen levels and many more benefits.
10 years back or more, Indians regarded Ayurveda as something out-dated and something meant for older generations but of late, Ayurveda is making its comeback and how! The Ayurvedic diet and Ayurvedic beautifiers have been flooding the Indian market. Indeed, Ayurveda is now considered fashionable and has definitely gained the following of young people.
